Creston appoints Tim Bonnet as Chairman of its Communications Division

13 Oct 2011

Creston plc, the Insight and Communications Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Bonnet to the Company.

Tim joins Creston from advertising agency TBWA\UK Group, part of the Omnicom Group. Tim held a variety of senior roles during his 15 years at TBWA\UK Group including CEO of TEQUILA\London, CEO of Agency.com and most recently Managing Director of Global Clients at BEING, the brand behavioural agency. Tim was also part of the UK Group Executive Board. Prior to joining TBWA\UK Group Tim held senior marketing and commercial positions at Shell Retail, John Menzies Group and Aer Lingus Group.

As Chairman of Creston’s Communications division, Tim will be responsible for the strategic direction, growth and development of the communications agencies within the Group which comprise digital, direct and local marketing expertise as well as PR and brand consultancies. The Group’s award winning communications brands include EMO, Nelson Bostock Communications, Fever, The Real Adventure, TMW and Creston Unlimited.

Creston sees its Communications division as a key driver behind developing new collaborative initiatives across divisions. For example the recent launch of Grapevine, a joint venture from Red Door Communications (Health) and EMO (Communications) offering unique 'Localisation' techniques in healthcare. The Group is already seeing real benefit and value from such initiatives and it believes it is uniquely and well positioned to further exploit such innovation under Tim’s leadership.

Additionally, following the successful launch earlier this year of NBC Hong Kong, an organic PR start-up, the Group is keen to utilise Tim’s considerable international and client management experience to pursue further international growth and acquisition opportunities.

Tim will join Creston in January 2012.

Don Elgie, CEO of Creston plc commented: "I am delighted that Tim will be joining us and I know he will bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the role. Our sector is one that is constantly changing as new technologies come to market and Tim will ensure Creston is at the forefront of leveraging resulting opportunities to influence and inspire our client's consumers with cutting-edge initiatives". On his new position Tim Bonnet added: "In the current market, brands need access to a range of disciplines which can be seamlessly delivered by their agency roster. At Creston this portfolio of services is available through best in class agencies that can deliver activities from brand strategy, through creative and communications, right through to execution at a local level. It's a formula I believe many brands will find refreshing, results focused and delivers value."
